I think Summer already started in India. Here in Germany it starts only at the end of may. Now moderate climate with breeze and drizzling sometimes. Think how pleasent it would be?
In summer, we need to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and fresh juice. Don't opt carbonated drinks or readymade juice mixes as it is not good for health. Also it will not help us to stay hydrated. So lets BEAT THE HEAT with Strawberry Banana smoothie.
So hereafter you will find some Summer recipes in my blog. Stay stuned.
Ingredients:
Strawberry - 1/2 cup chopped
Banana - 1/2 cup chopped
Boiled and chilled milk/ yogurt - 3/4 cup
Sugar/ Honey - to taste
Method:
1. Roughly chop Strawberries and banana. Measure it and keep ready.
2. In a blender add chopped strawberries , banana and sugar and blend it. You can also add icecubes at this stage. I didn't add.
3. Now add milk and blend it for 1-2 seconds. You can also replace milk with yogurt if you like.
4. Now pour in to serving glass and serve chilled.
Our chill smoothie is ready...
Have it chilled :)
Notes:
- You can also use honey instead of sugar.
- If you want a thick smoothie then use 1/2 cup of milk or yogurt instead of 3/4 cup.
- If you are adding ice cubes then use 1/2 cup of milk or yogurt instead of 3/4 cup. Because adding icecubes will make smoothie thinner.
- You can also 1 add scoop of vanila icecream while blending milk. I don't prefer adding icecream to a healthy smoothie.
